How many times has it happened with you that there was a last minute phone call which announced that your esteemed presence was needed in less than an hour, and just before hanging up he added “Err… honey please look good”.

Normally that would be an impetus to open up the cupboard and rummage through the dresses for that most perfect thing, but thats not possible when you have less than half an hour to get dressed.. and things just get worse when your hair is in a mess. With a visit to the parlor out of question, I suggest, you open your cupboard and try out one of the effective home remedies listed out in this article, that’ll help you look really gorgeous.

Ran out of shampoo…

Curse the person whose face you saw the first in the morning or,

Take a cup of warm water and dissolve two fresh eggs in it. This mixture is now to be massaged throughout your hair and left for ten to fifteen minutes before being rinsed off with luke warm water.

Ran out of conditioner

Don’t fret! Fabric conditioner can do the same trick as a hair conditioner

Dry unmanageable hair

A liquidized banana, few drops of wheat germ oil and a few drops of aroma oil ( to ward off the banana stench) can prove to be a very deep and effective conditioner. The mixture is to be applied throughout the length of the hair and be left for a while. Wash and condition hair as normal after, and Voila! silky soft tresses.

Want soft sexy tresses

A can of coke ( Sprite for blonde hair) in a spray bottle along with some water when misted into damp hair creates very sexy tresses with a soft texture.

Cream for the hair

Nivea when applied to damp hair before sculpting creates a smooth style and silky texture for a chic and sophisticated look.

Dandruff that keeps on coming back

An aspirin dissolved into a dandruff shampoo helps clearing up the problem fast and prevents dandruff from coming back for long.

No time for shampoo

Apply talcum powder thoroughly on your hair and then rub off with a dry towel. Your hair stops looking greasy immediately. But take care to wash out the talcum powder soon.

For dehydrated hair

You want soft and silky tresses but your hair is dehydrated? Don’t worry, just put an egg, on tablespoon of olive oil and a quarter of cucumber in a blender and then apply the mixture to your hair for ten minutes. And then wash off to have your dream of soft and silky tresses come true!

Curly hair problem

When your curly hair just refuses to be tamed, apply a few drops of olive oil to your styling product and see those curls all falling in place in no time.

Just came back from a swim!

Blonde coloured hair develops a slight greenish tinge owing to reaction with chlorine. Pour ketchup on blond hair and wash it off after a few minutes. The red tone of the ketchup neutralises the greenish tinge leaving lovely golden locks.

For split ends and fizz

To have a simpler way of managing split ends and fizz massage maple syrup to dry hair and shampoo after half an hour. The problem will be GONE.

To remove fizz mix 2 medium size blobs of mayonnaise into your hair then rinse and condition as usual - it works wonders! 

Limp hair problem

Shampoo with beer to give your hair the body and volume you desire.

And for that added shine… mix up one part beer and three parts water and pour over your hair for the final rinse and you’ll be left with super-shiny hair

And for extra volume… mix juice of one lemon with 100ml of water and put into a spray bottle. Spray lightly through your hair, then blow dry. The acidity of the lemon juice swells the strands giving volume.

For beautiful hair

Mix 1/4 cup olive oil,1/4 cup almond oil,1 tablespoon of jojoba oil and 1 tablespoon of honey on your hair rinse with warm water. The outcome… the glow in your man’s eyes!!

And for after the party

Clean hair

Wash your hair with vodka to remove any product build up.

Shiny hair

After, a wash, rinse your hair with vinegar and warm water and leave for 3 minutes and rinse for beautiful shiny hair.
